Artist Sibghatullah.

So today we're going to ask some questions to Sibghatullah. The Scribble Artist.

Q1: Can you tell me a little about you and your art?

Sibghat: My name is Sibghatullah. I have been doing art since 2010 and I’ve completed my major in Textile Designing in 2018 from Textile Institute of Pakistan (TIP). Currently I’m working as a designer for Almirah which is a well-known clothing brand. I do scribbling art and I mostly make portraits by using this technique.

Q2: What is your style or medium of art?

Sibghat: I have a very wild approach towards art. I don’t really like to work in boundaries to be very honest, my style of work is called ‘Scribbling Technique’ in which I use only contours in a way which creates shapes and figures. The medium I mostly use are Felt tip pen and Ball point pen. I create digital artworks on Adobe Photoshop by using Wacom digital pad.

Q3: Should artist focus on one art medium?
Sibghat: I believe any artist should explore different mediums in the beginning to find out about his/her strengths and weaknesses. Once you’re familiar with your strengths and weaknesses then you should keep working on it to master the technique or medium.

Q4: Are you self taught or do you have formal training?

Sibghat: Wouldn’t say self-taught because I had a painting course when I was undergraduate, where I have learned a lot about techniques, mediums and artists. I also tend to watch tutorials on the internet.

Q5: Do you think that today art is unappreciated?

Sibghat: I would say that it is not as appreciated as it should be.

Q6: Who's your most fav artist?

Sibghat: I have a lot of favorite artists. Such as Van Gogh, Paul Signac, Gustav Klimt, Salvador Dali and AQ Arif. But when it comes to scribbling there’s only one artist ‘Eric Centeno’.

Q7: Why do you start making art and how?

Sibghat: Sometimes it’s for therapy and peace of mind and sometimes its commissioned work.

Q8: How long have you been creating artworks with a pen?

Sibghat: I found out about scribbling technique in 2017. Since then I have been creating my artworks with pen.

Q9: What are your tools of choice (medium, brands)?

Sibghat: I prefer working with Dry mediums. Faber Castell color pencils, soft pastels, Staedtler pens.

Q10: What is the best way to get in touch with you?

Sibghat: I have my page on Instagram. If someone wants to contact me, That’s the best place where I would be. @sibbghat

THANKYOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR TIME SIBGHATULLAH.
